Three are 3 types of clauses :

It can stand alone as a sentence.

Every sentence must have at least one main clause.

These are used in a Compound Sentence

3. Subordinate Clause (Dependent Clause)

A subordinate clause is a group of words that contains a subject and a predicate but does not express a complete thought.
